Piil is now available worldwide

Piil began as an exploration of what a contemporary, elevated retreat could be — light in footprint, generous in its views, and carefully considered in how it meets the ground. Originally realised as a full-scale prototype in an Estonian forest, the project explored prefabrication, elevation, and minimal site impact, while remaining comfortable and refined in everyday use.

Following its completion, images of the prototype were shared widely and prompted enquiries from around the world. Many of these conversations centred on whether Piil could be delivered to other landscapes, climates, and contexts — and what it would take to make that possible.

Over the past two years, the prototype has been used, tested, and refined. This process informed the development of a production-ready version of Piil: one that retains the architectural character and spatial intent of the original, while being optimised for durability, repeatability, and international delivery.

Today, Piil is available to order worldwide.

The product version is manufactured in collaboration with an Estonian production partner and delivered as a prefabricated system, allowing for controlled quality and efficient on-site assembly. A range of options, finishes, and upgrades are available, depending on site conditions, climate, and intended use.

For those interested in exploring whether Piil might be right for their site or project, a detailed Design Guide is available on request. It outlines pricing, specifications, customisation options, and the process from enquiry through to delivery.

If you’ve followed Piil since its early stages — or are discovering it for the first time — this marks an important next chapter in the project.
